Guwahati: In a bid to prevent the filmmakers of Assam and the northeast from spending a hefty amount in location shooting, a Chroma studio, titled “Rupaleem Chroma Studio”, equipped with modern facilities was inaugurated at the Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio in Guwahati, reports Dhrubajyoti Malakar
The studio built at a cost of Rs 80 lakh is going to fill the void filmmakers of the state are facing from a long time, said chairman of the film studio, Vidyasagar Borah, after inaugurating the newly built studio. The studio has been named after a play, “Rupaleem”, written by the stalwart of the Assamese film industry, Rupkonwar Jyoti Prasad Agarwala, in 1938.
