Shalini was a well-accepted talent in both the Malayalam and Tamil film industries in the late 1990s. After marrying Kollywood actor Ajith Kumar in 2000, she reportedly took a break from her career. Recently, the actress made a public appearance at an event with her son and daughter.

Many South Indian celebrities graced the recent wedding reception of director Shankar's daughter in Chennai. Shalini Ajith Kumar had a rare appearance at the wedding with her son, Aadvik Ajith Kumar, and her daughter, Anoushka Kumar.
Actor Vijjith Shivashanmugam took to his Instagram account to share some pictures from the wedding reception, which also featured the actress with her children. While sharing the pictures, he wrote, "Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the wedding reception of the esteemed director Shankar sir's daughter, accompanied by @gkmtamilkumaran sir and Shenbagamoorthy sir. My heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the newly wedded couple! Also, I was fortunate to capture a moment with @shaliniajithkumar2022 madam and Aadvik Ajithkumar."
Shalini can be seen wearing a floral golden saree with a green long-sleeved blouse. Her son, Aadvik, was also spotted posing in a red kurta and black pants.
Earlier, Megastars Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Sivakarthikeyan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Anirudh Ravichander, Nelson Dilipkumar, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Chiyaan Vikram, Suriya, Karthi, Mani Ratnam, and many more were also spotted at the wedding.
On the other hand, Ajith Kumar is busy shooting for his next film, 'Vidaa Muyarchi' directed by Magizh Thirumeni. The film also features Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and Arav in important roles.
