‘Nadikar’ box office collection day 6: Tovino Thomas starrer collects Rs 3.83 crore from India

Tovino Thomas’ much-anticipated release ‘Nadikar’, which hit the cinemas on May 3 is grappling with underwhelming box office numbers. Lal Jr.’s directorial which stirred considerable excitement among fans and cinephiles alike, however, failed to meet the high expectations set upon its release.
Despite initial buzz and anticipation, ‘Nadikar’ has struggled to make a significant mark at the box office, with its India net earnings estimated at a mere Rs 3.83 crore by the end of day 6, according to a report by Sacnilk. On Wednesday, May 8, which also marked its sixth day, ‘Nadikar’ earned around Rs 32 lakh in India net collection.
One of the key factors contributing to the film's lackluster performance is its occupancy rates, which have remained relatively low since its release. On Wednesday, May 8, the film recorded an overall Malayalam occupancy of 10.73%. The footfall in the theatres is going downhill.

There is humor and some foreshadowing, some of it effective and some so hard to catch. Interestingly, it's not as angsty as one might expect with such a subject. The writing is very sloppy in places, and some minor details were off-putting. There is this one scene where they were filming something where Indrans plays the parent's role. The costume was so glaringly out of place. The feeling of artificiality crops up in some of the scenes that require more naturality. A lot of behind-the-scenes elements were covered well. Most of the drawbacks are saved by the presence of the suave man on screen. The film is by no means a masterpiece, but it is an entertainer.”
