Jorge Martin wins thrilling French MotoGP, Marquez pips Bagnaia for P2 on last lap

In a thrilling showdown at the Grand Prix de France, Jorge Martin of Prima Pramac Racing surged to victory, setting an incredible pace throughout the race to emerge as the winner in a titanic three-way battle on Sunday, reported IANS.
Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP) secured an impressive second place after overtaking Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) on the final lap.Bagnaia managed to hold onto the third position, securing vital points after a disappointing result in the Sprint race.
Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) led the way to start the historic French GP, showcasing a stunning start and leaving behind Saturday's issues. Martin attempted an early attack on the opening lap, but Bagnaia demonstrated his prowess. Maverick Vinales made a mistake, dropping from third to sixth as Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) surged into fifth.
Unfortunately, Acosta's race ended in disappointment as he lost control while trying to overtake Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) at turn eight. While Di Giannantonio was fortunate, the same could not be said for Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team), who crashed at turn six a lap later.
At the front, it became a battle between Bagnaia and Martin. Meanwhile, there was fierce competition forming behind for the final podium position, with Di Giannantonio overtaking Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) for third place.
Espargaro later went through the escape road after being overtaken by Ducati Lenovo Team's Enea Bastianini, receiving a Long Lap penalty for taking a shortcut.
Marc Marquez capitalized on a mistake from Vinales on lap 14, moving up to fourth and joining the fight with the top three riders.
Marquez attempted to overtake Di Giannantonio at turn three on lap 17, finally succeeding on the next lap. Meanwhile, Fabio Quartararo's home race ended disastrously as he crashed out of sixth place.
As the race reached its climax, Martin took the lead on lap 21, allowing Marquez to close in. In the closing stages, Martin made a small mistake, allowing Bagnaia to catch up once again.
The final lap saw a thrilling battle between the top three, with Marquez launching an attack to claim second place. Martin ultimately crossed the finish line to win the French GP by 0.446s.
Marquez celebrated his second-place finish, while Bagnaia settled for third in a race that will be remembered for years to come.
Behind the podium trio, Bastianini secured fourth place, showcasing impressive late-race pace. Di Giannantonio finished sixth after completing a Long Lap penalty, ahead of Franco Morbidelli in seventh. Starting from the back of the grid, Brad Binder finished eighth after a remarkable ride.
Espargaro and Alex Marquez rounded out the top 10. Further down the order, Johann Zarco secured a point-scoring finish at his home Grand Prix, finishing 12th.
