Pickleball athletes win medals in Vietnam meet
Ahmedabad: Pickleball athletes from Gujarat shone for India at the recently concluded World Pickleball Championship Series held in Vietnam.
Veer Shah clinched a gold medal in the U-14 boys singles category. Despite being just 12-years-old, Shah’s skill and determination helped him overcome opponents much older than him, a testament to his remarkable talent and dedication to the sport.
Additionally, Shah secured a bronze medal in the U-18 boys’ singles.

Adding to Gujarat’s medal haul was Dhiren Patel, whose earned a bronze medal in the men’s 35+ singles category. He teamed up with Shail Shah to secure another bronze medal in the men’s 19+ doubles category, showcasing Gujarat’s depth of talent and teamwork in pickleball.
Prasunna bags three gold and one silver at National Masters TT meet:
Gujarat’s Prasunna Parekh returned with four medals — three gold and one silver — from the 30th National Masters Table Tennis Championships held in Hyderabad, Telangana. In the women's team 40+ event, Prasunna, along with Shraddha Maheshwary, Shital Shah, Ruchika Accha and Krupa Shah, helped Gujarat get the better of Karnataka in the final to grab the gold.

She, however, went down to Anjana Rao of Maharashtra to settle for a silver in the women's singles 40+ event.
Prasunna and her doubles partner Shital pocketed the women's doubles 40+ gold by getting past Maharashtra's Gayatri Dandekar and Shruti Joshi.
In the mixed doubles 40+ event, it was yet another gold for Prasunna where she paired with Viral Patel and thumped Vinita Shukla and Onkar Jog (Maha) in the final.
Gujarat’s women’s 50+ team consisting of Sonal Joshi, Neha Patel, Shubhangi Hardikar and Kinnari Patel beat Madhya Pradesh in the final to give the state another gold medal.
It was double delight for Sonal as she, along with her doubles partner Neha won gold in the women's doubles 50+ event.
Gujarat's Malay Thakkar faltered at the final hurdle as he settled for a silver medal after he lost to Manish Rawat of Maharashtra in the men's singles 50+ final. TNN
