BENGALURU/NEW DELHI: The ongoing sleaze video case allegedly involving MP Prajwal Revanna took a new twist on Thursday with the National Commission for Women (NCW) stating that a woman approached it accusing three men of threatening her to file a “false complaint”.
In a press release, NCW said the woman sought protection for her and family as the three individuals, who claimed to be police, were issuing dire threats and calling her on mobile from different numbers.

“One woman approached the commission to register a complaint against three individuals, dressed in civilian clothes, allegedly introduced themselves as Karnataka police and forced her to file a false complaint in this case. She stated that she was getting calls from random phone numbers, threatening to file a complaint. It has come to light that this complainant was forced by a group of individuals to file the complaint, under the threat of potential harassment and false implications,” the press release stated.
Meanwhile, NWS has refuted the claim that 700 women have come forward to submit complaints against Revanna. It said no survivor came to the commission to register a complaint against the Hassan MP.
The commission disclosed that the action-taken report sent by the authorities in Karnataka shows that two cases were registered based on complaints of sexual abuse by the survivors, alongside an additional complaint filed for abduction by a relative.
