Madras HC CJ to retire on May 23
Chennai: About a year after taking over as chief justice of Madras high court, Justice Sanjay V Gangapurwala, is set to retire on May 23.
Justice Gangapurwala was appointed as the chief justice of Madras high court in May 2023.
Born in 1962 in Maharashtra, Justice Gangapurwala began his career in 1985 as an advocate and was appointed as an additional judge in Mumbai high court in 2010.

Ten years later, he was appointed as the acting chief justice of the Mumbai high court.tnn
