Stalin condoles deaths of bishop, constable

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin on Friday condoled the death of Believers Church metropolitan bishop Athanasius Yohan.
Yohan died in the US due to a cardiac arrest.
In his condolence message, Stalin said Yohan had started several educational institutions and worked for the welfare of the poor. “His death is a massive loss to the Christians,” Stalin said.
In a separate statement, the chief minister expressed his condolences to the bereaved family of police constable Arumugam who died in a road accident.

The grade I police constable with the prohibition and enforcement wing was riding on a motorcycle when he collided with a van on the Chennai-Bengaluru National Highway.
The government relief fund would be sanctioned to the family after getting the nod from the Election Commission, Stalin said.
