New Delhi: In an organisational meeting, Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva said the party would have to “expose” the failure of AAP govt to increase victory margins on seven Lok Sabha seats in the capital.
BJP also put up direction boards near CM Arvind Kejriwal’s residence, showing it as “Sheesh Mahal” and a “house of corruption”. AAP claimed there were a couple of BJP workers trying to put the board who were immediately removed by police.
Sachdeva told the party workers to highlight “national and international achievements” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure success in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
He also called upon party workers to disseminate the observations of Delhi High Court on the “deteriorating condition of govt schools in Delhi” and “corruption” of the Kejriwal govt to every household.
The BJP functionary alleged the Kejriwal govt had no right left to remain in officeafter the remarks of the high court made while hearing a case related to state-run and municipal schools on Friday. “If there is even a shred of morality left in Arvind Kejriwal and Saurabh Bhardwaj, they should immediately resign,” Sachdeva said.
AAP spokesperson Reena Gupta, however, said the entire case against CM Arvind Kejriwal was a conspiracy to prevent him from campaigning in Lok Sabha elections. “He is a three-time, immensely popular chief minister. In a referendum conducted in Delhi, people unequivocally voted for him to continue governing even from behind bars,” Gupta said.
