Man stabs wife to death after fight in Delhi, held

NEW DELHI: A man has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife by stabbing in the North West district of Delhi.
The incident took place on Saturday evening at the Bharat Nagar police station area of North West district, Delhi.
The accused identified as Javed (24), allegedly murdered the victim Afsana (24).
The Delhi Police said that Javed and Afsana got married several years ago but had been living apart for the past two to three months.
According to the police, when Afsana visited Javed's place on Saturday evening, the couple had a heated argument, which escalated into violence.
In a fit of rage, Javed attacked Afsana with a knife, resulting in her death. The police were immediately informed and they reached the spot to arrest the accused.
During the interrogation, Javed confessed that there had been a long-standing rift between him and Afsana, and the fight on Saturday evening had pushed him over the edge, leading him to lose his temper and attack his wife with a knife.
