Cong launches ‘guarantee card’ in Guwahati
Guwahati: Congress started the door-to-door distribution of its ‘guarantee card’ in Assam from here on Sunday. AICC general secretary and Assam in-charge Jitendra Singh led the distribution of the ‘Paanch Nyay guarantee card’ and launched the poll campaign in favour of the party candidate for Guwahati Lok Sabha constituency, Mira Borthakur Goswami.
Singh, alongside Borthakur and senior party leaders, visited residences in the Panjabari area of the city to distribute the ‘Paanch Nyay’ cards.

“This is a new beginning today. Each word of the five guarantees reflects the aspirations of the people that Rahulji realised during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra,” Singh said.
He said it’s not the party but the people who scripted the ‘guarantee card’ published by the Congress ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
Lok Sabha MP Abdul Khaleque, working president of Assam PCC Jakir Hussain Sikdar and Congress legislator Rekibuddin Ahmed attended the event. AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi unveiled the party manifesto titled Nyay Patra, recently. The five nyay or pillars of justice are ‘Yuva Nyay’, ‘Naari Nyay’, ‘Kisaan Nyay’, ‘Shramik Nyay’ and ‘Hissedari Nyay’
