‘You can see development everywhere under Modi’

Guwahati: BJP’s Assam president Bhabesh Kalita on Sunday said the people of the state have to try hard to recall if former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had given anything to Assam during his tenure, while development under PM Narendra Modi can be seen here everywhere.
Kalita said this at a programme at the BJP’s state headquarters in Guwahati, where over 100 workers of Congress, Yuva Congress, NSUI and other political parties joined the saffron party.
“The flow from various political parties and organisations to the BJP has remained unabated and the reason is all-round development taking place at a fast pace across the state. Right from road infrastructure to medical colleges to schools to various other fields, Assam has seen unprecedented development after the BJP took over at the Centre in 2014 and in the state in 2016,” he added.
He said with the joining of the people day by day, the party is gaining more strength.
Former Congress leaders Angkita Dutta and Bismita Gogoi and All Assam Students’ Union leaders Dipanka Nath and Prakash Das joined the BJP in January.
