PM Modi set to campaign in Assam on Apr 17
Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will canvass for BJP candidates for the Lok Sabha in Assam on April 17 while outgoing Union home minister Amit Shah will campaign in the state on April 7. State cabinet minister Jayanta Malla Baruah said Shah will is scheduled to address three rallies at Hojai, Lakhimpur and Gohpur during his campaign trail in Assam.
Baruah also said Modi will address an election rally at the Bidanchal ground of Borkura in Nalbari district. The polling for the 14 seats in Assam will be held in three phases — April 19, April 26 and May 7. tnn
