Polls won’t delay publication of Assam state board results
Guwahati: The election process won’t delay the publication of state board results even as a section of examiners has been engaged in poll training, officials said.
The Class X board results are likely to be announced by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (Seba) around the first phase of Lok Sabha elections. The results are set to be out a month ahead compared to last year.

However, official sources said the Class XII board results may be declared by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) in May, like the previous years.
Speaking to media persons on Thursday, education minister Ranoj Pegu confirmed, “I think the results of the Class X boards may be announced around April 19-20. The CM too said the results will be out around that time, soon after Bihu. The results will not be deferred owing to elections.”
Seba officials said the process of publishing the results is in the final stage. “This is because a new system of uploading the marks instantly in the online software in the evaluation centres soon after evaluation has come into play,” a Seba official said.
