Hyderabad: The
BJP on Thursday alleged that Telangana Congress was trying to wash its hands off the doctored video case involving Union home minister Amit Shah.
Addressing a press conference, Karnataka BJP spokesperson MG Mahesh and Telangana BJP spokesperson NV Subhash said: “Congress replied through a legal team that the video was not doctored by them.
The question is whether the Congress leaders, including the chief minister, have shared the video or not. They are trying to say that they are in no way connected with the video. But the reality is something else.”
Police issue notice to the administrations of WhatsApp groups stating that any false information or fake videos must not be circulated and the administrators will be held responsible , the spokespersons said.
“As they are in positions of responsibility, the CM and senior Congress leaders must now react to the question of disseminating the video and why they did not conduct a fact-check. The video appears to have been made in Assam and then uploaded on social media platforms to damage the BJP and Shah,” they said.
