HC stops police from arresting BJP MP Sanjay
Hyderabad: Telangana high court on Wednesday directed police not to arrest BJP national general secretary and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay in an FIR booked against him by Medipally police in the aftermath of Chengicherla incident.
Justice K Lakshman said the FIR has malicious intentions and hence deserves to be quashed. He posted the case to June 11 and asked cops not to arrest Sanjay and other petitioners till then.
According to the FIR, Sanjay along with his followers obstructed police from discharging their duties and caused damage to the barricades, a public property, on March 27.
