High court suspends appointment of DME
Hyderabad: Justice Pulla Karthik of Telangana high court on Wednesday suspended the appointment of Dr N Vani as in charge director of medical education (DME) (Admn).
HC directed the state to fill the post in tune with the provisions of law and the existing norms.
The judge passed the interim order after hearing a plea filed by Dr A Narendra Kumar, superintendent of Wanaparthy Govt General Hospitals, who is a contender for the post of DME.

The state on Feb 19, 2024, appointed Sangareddy Govt. Medical College principal Dr Vani as in charge DME.
The judge said that the appointment was prima facie unlawful and suspended the appointment.
