Revanth takes on KCR, says latter will go to jail

Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday went ballistic against BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, saying that he would be lodged in Cherlapally jail if he continued to use unparliamentary language against Congress leaders.
“We have been maintaining restraint because you lost power, broke your hip bone and your daughter has been jailed. It was a humanitarian gesture to keep quiet.But we are not going to tolerate such talk and canards by KCR. I am not K Jana Reddy (ex-CLP leader). I am Revanth Reddy. We will make you eat jail food. We will construct a 2BHK for KCR and his kin in the prison,” Revanth said addressing a public meeting in Tukkuguda.
He said 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses, as part of Congress’s six guarantees, will be constructed at a cost of 22,500 crore.
He also said the vibrant Telangana model will surpass the Gujarat model of PM Narendra Modi and show the way to other states to put the country back on the path of progress. “We have implemented promised guarantees within 100 days in Telangana. To extend good governance and bring more central funds and to make Rahul Gandhi the PM, we need to send more Congress MPs from Telangana,” he said.
He further said: “PM is trying to divide the country with north India and south India politics only to come for a third term. NaMo (Narendra Modi) means ‘nammuthe mosam’ (You will be betrayed if you trust). Like the people of Telangana buried the BRS in the assembly polls, let us not sleep until we bury the BJP too at the national level.”
Revanth referring to Modi’s rhetoric that Congress is a ‘parivar’ party, said it is not an election between Modi parivar and Gandhi parivar but a battle. “On one side is Modi parivar comprising EVMs, ED, IT and CBI, and on the other, Congress parivar comprises martyrs like Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi who sacrificed the post of the PM. There are desh bhakts like Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi and crores of party workers in this parivar,” he asserted.
Revanth sought to assure Rahul that the Telangana Congress has accepted the war between the two parivars. “We are ready for a head-on collision. The people of Telangana and Congress workers have defeated the hatred politics and also the BRS in the assembly polls. Modi, who keeps travelling abroad and wears new clothes regularly, wants to do away with the Constitution. Rahul Bhayya, the entire Telangana will stand with you, including me, even if we are martyred,” Revanth said.
