HYDERABAD: Asking people to vote for Narendra Modi to make the BJP cross 400 seats, Union home minister Amit Shah on Thursday described the as a battle between what he called 'vote jihad vs 'vote for development', as well as Rahul Gandhi vs Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing an election campaign rally in Bhongir, he stated, "This election is a war between family-only development and country's development.
This battle is between Rahul Gandhi's Chinese guarantee and Modi's Bharatiya guarantee."
He expressed confidence that the BJP had crossed 200 seats by the third phase of voting and asked Telangana voters to give at least 10 seats to his party so that it could cross 400 seats. "In the 2019 elections, the people of Telangana blessed us with 4 seats. But I want to tell CM Revanth Reddy that this time we are going to win more than 10 seats," Shah said.
He said, “This double-digit score is going to make Modi ji cross the 400-mark. The Congress is in such a mess that it is not getting candidates to contest. They have nominated such a person as a candidate in Bhongir who forged the signature of Rahul Gandhi. He was suspended because of it. But when they found no candidate to contest in Bhongir, he was requested to do so.”
He also said that if they get more than 10 seats in Telangana then his party would end Muslim reservations in the state and share the benefits among the SCs and STs.
Alleging that Congress is resorting to lies, he said, “They are saying that if Modi comes, he will remove reservations. He was in power with a full majority for the previous terms and did not remove reservations. However, in state, the Congress granted 4% reservation to Muslims by plundering SC, ST, and OBC quotas.” TOI had reported earlier that the 4% reservation in the two Telugu states of AP and Telangana is over and above the reservation for the other castes and is included in the BC (E) category.

Saying that PM Modi delivers on his promises, Shah stated, “Rahul baba’s” guarantee will not survive even until sunset. Congress does not keep commitments. PM Modi ensured that Ram Mandir was built within five years, whereas Congress delayed this issue for 70 years.”
He also said that Rahul did not meet the promise of giving ₹5,000 guarantee-free loans to students and scooties to college girls. Stating that Congress did not even attend the consecration of the Ram temple, he alleged that its leaders wanted to revive triple talaq if they return to power.
