Telangana in pursuit of Tesla project: Sridhar Babu

HYDERABAD: Telangana, which has been chasing Elon Musk’s Tesla project for the better part of the past 10 years, is going all out to woo the prestigious electric vehicle project, Telangana industries minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said on Thursday.
Pointing out that the Telangana govt has been keenly following Tesla’s planned investment initiatives in India since December 2023, when the Congress govt took over the reins of the state, the minister said: “We have been making all out efforts to bring bring Tesla to our state.”
In a post on Musk’s social media platform X, Sridhar Babu said: “Telangana with its industry-friendly policy, is working with a progressive and futuristic vision by creating a world-class infrastructure and hassle-free approvals system to enable best-in-class companies like Tesla to do business in Telangana.”
He said the Telangana industries department and other entities of Telangana govt are continuing deliberations with Tesla to convince it to set up its facilities in the state.TNN
