Hyderabad: Telangana high court on Friday refused to cancel bail granted to Kadapa YSRCP MP YS Avinash Reddy, who is an accused in murder case of AP former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy.
The court also granted bail to Avinash’s father, another accused YS Bhaskar Reddy. Justice K Lakshman heard the plea filed by approver Shaik Dastagiri, who was seeking cancellation of bail given to Avinash on the ground that the MP was influencing the witnesses and threatening his family.
The judge dismissed it on the ground that there was no material evidence to prove the allegations. Dealing with the bail application filed by Bhaskar Reddy, the judge said that he deserved a bail on medical grounds.
The bail was granted with certain conditions that he should not enter AP where all the witnesses in the case reside and that he should not leave the country without prior permission of the trial court.
