Food & water woes hit GMC Kothagudem
Hyderabad: The Telangana Junior Doctors Association (TJUDA) on Tuesday raised concerns over inadequate food and water at the Government Medical College (GMC) in Kothagudem.
The members of TJUDA said they received several complaints from students. “There have been grievances regarding insufficient provision of food in the mess, impacting the nutritional requirements of medicine students adversely,” TJUDA said.
The members alleged mistreatment and verbal abuse of female students and demanded an enquiry into the issue.Principal of the college RL Lakshman Rao, however, denied their allegations. “There is no water problem in the hostels. It is students who have hired a contractor to provide food for them,” he said. TNN
