HYDERABAD: In another case of a student from Telangana going missing in the US, a 26-year-old from Hanumakonda has not been seen in Chicago since he stepped out of home there on May 2, India's mission in the US city said on Thursday.
Rupesh Chandra Chintakindi, pursuing Masters in business analytics from Concordia University, Wisconsin, had joined the varsity earlier this year.

Rupesh's father Ch Sadanandam said he had last spoken to him on WhatsApp on May 2 afternoon. "He had said he was busy with some work. Later, I could not contact him and he has since been offline," Sadanandam said from Hanumakonda.
The family said they had spoken to Rupesh's roommates and they recalled Rupesh going out to meet someone who had come from Texas. "He went to meet somebody but we do not know who," Rupesh's father said, adding they had contacted the US embassy.
The family has sought help from Union minister G Kishan Reddy who, in turn, wrote to the ministry of external affairs on Wednesday seeking assistance of the Indian consulate in Chicago to help find Rupesh.
The consulate said on Thursday it was in touch with police and the Indian diaspora "hoping to locate/establish contact with Rupesh".
The mission added that Rupesh had been incommunicado since leaving home on May 2 at Chicago's 4300 block of N Sheridan Road.

Chicago police have put out a notice urging the public to provide information about Rupesh.
Earlier, 25-year-old Mohammad Abdul Arfath, hailing from Nacharam in Hyderabad, went missing in March and was found dead in a lake in the US city of Cleveland in April.
He had arrived last year to pursue Masters in IT from Cleveland University.
