The twins, who are members of a WhatsApp group called All Kerala Twins Community (AKTC), are organising the meet up which is scheduled to be held at the Sai Sankara Kendram, an old age home located in Kalady.
The twins and triplets shared their excitement about meeting others like themselves. The official inauguration of the programme will be done by Kochi assistant commissioner of police P Rajkumar.
The WhatsApp group that was formed in Jan this year currently has 300 members between the age group of six to 40. Viswas S Vavolil, one of the admins of the group, said the founding members of the community met each other over social media.
“It was after I joined the WhatsApp group that I realized that there are so many twins in Kerala,” said 35-year-old Priya P Prakash, a member of AKTC who hails from Pathanamthitta. She plans to arrive at the meet with her twin sister Preetha . She also said that meeting twins like them will be a pleasant experience for the residents of the old age home, and that is why the group specifically chose the old age home as the venue.
The event will have various cultural activities to foster bonding and allow twins to share their unique experience.
