’93 blast convict campaigning for Sena UBT: BJP
Mumbai: BJP has accused Shiv Sena (UBT) of seeking votes with the help of a Mumbai blast convict. BJP MLA from Andheri West mentioned that Iqbal Moosa alias Baba Chauhan, a convict in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case, who spent 10 years in jail, was seen campaigning for MVA north west candidate Amol Kirtikar on Wednesday. Chauhan accompanied Kirtikar in a road rally from S V Road to J P Road in Andheri West for approximately an hour, stated Ameet Satam.

“This election is no longer a battle between nationalist forces and Tukde Tukde gang, but a fight between India and Pakistan,” he said. In response to BJP’s accusation Kirtikar stated that it was a conspiracy by the BJP. “There are so many people in a rally, we do not know who is moving along with us,” he said, adding that he suspects BJP sends such people to the rally to record a video and then share it on social media. tnn
