Mumbai: AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, NCP (SP) president Sharad Pawar and UBT Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray launched a frontal attack against PM Narendra Modi over his allegation that Congress will run a bulldozer on the newly constructed Ram Temple in Ayodhya if INDIA bloc comes to power after June 4.
Kharge described Modi’s allegation as misleading, saying bulldozer culture belongs to BJP, not Congress.
Thackeray said the new government will complete the pending work of the temple in a time-bound period, while Pawar said the new government will protect all the places of worship belonging to all religions, whether Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, or Parsee. “We are committed to complete the Ram Temple in Ayodhya in a time-bound period, at the same time, it will be ensured that all places of religion and worship are given due respect,” they told reporters.
In an hour-long interaction with the media, they spoke at length on the outcome of the Lok Sabha elections, steps to be taken for the protection of democracy and constitution, Modi’s frequent remarks on PM candidate of INDIA bloc, GST, food security act and BJP president J P Nadda’s comment on RSS. Thackeray claimed MVA will win all 48 seats, while Kharge said, it should be around 46.
Thackeray asked Modi not to worry about the PM nominee of the INDIA bloc, it has several nominees, in fact, a name has been shortlisted and it will be declared at an appropriate time. “We have several competent candidates for the top political post, we have shortlisted the person and his name will be declared at a proper time,” Thackeray said.
On J P Nadda’s statement on RSS, Thackeray said it now appears that BJP will not hesitate even to ban RSS immediately after the Lok Sabha elections. “It is the policy of the BJP, once the use of an organization is over, it quietly dumps it, RSS will meet the same fate, despite the fact that a few years ago, BJP was completely dependent on RSS, in fact, BJP’s ideology is driven from the RSS,” Thackeray said.
