Nagpur: Senior BJP leader and Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant said that ‘one nation, one election’ is on their agenda as it offers
benefits at multiple administrative and logistical levels.
Sawant was in Nagpur to talk about BJP’s manifesto released on Sunday.
“A committee has submitted a report. Firstly, all the state Assemblies have to pass it (one nation one plan) and then it will be implemented. But it’s on our agenda because it’s in the interest of the country,” said Samant, adding, a lot of time, effort and money gets spent on elections.
“That much time is taken away from development work and hence, it’s crucial that one nation, one election is implemented,” he said.
On the outcome of the elections, Sawant said that NDA will win all the seats in western Maharashtra.
