30 investors duped of ₹5.5cr since 2021
Nagpur: A group of persons, including three women, were booked by the Rana Pratap Nagar police on Wednesday for allegedly duping around 30 investors of almost ₹5.50 crore since 2021. The complainant, Vasudev Raut, claimed that four persons, identified as Nilesh Uikey, Priyanka Uikey, Neha Masram and Rashmi Uikey alias Gode had lured investors to participate in their company’s financial schemes to get 5%-7% returns with a month’s notice.
But the depositors did not get any returns, stated Raut.
Trucker killed in accident near E-way toll plaza
A 34-year-old trucker, identified as Satyendrasingh Jandelsingh, was hit by a speeding truck while crossing the Hingna-Amravati road on foot after parking his truck shortly after Wednesday midnight. The accident took place near the Samruddhi Mahamarg toll naka. The killer truck was being driven by Vairamurti Paiyrasamy. Hingna police have filed a case.
Two nabbed for stealing valuables from woman
Two women, identified as Anjanabai Hathagade (35) and Bayna Nade (45), were nabbed from highly sensitive Rahate Nagar Toli at Rameshwari on Wednesday for stealing valuables worth ₹41,000 from a woman who was travelling to Balaghat. She had lodged a complaint with Sitabuldi police who nabbed the thieves with the help of CCTV footage.
