Nakhate on VRAC team
Nagpur: Vidarbha Rajya Andolan Samiti (VRAC) has appointed Prashant Nakhate as Nagpur district president of its youth wing to promote developments regarding various demands put forth by the organisation.
The movement is spearheaded by VRAC to highlight their 119 year-long demand for an independent Vidarbha state. Nakhate is known for his multifaceted roles as the Nagpur district president of Tiger Group Maharashtra and Vidarbha region president of the International Federation of Journalists.
He is also a filmmaker and a social worker, who regularly organises events like blood donation camps, health camps and activities for disabled and needy.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Pandey was appointed as joint secretary of Nagpur City unit of VRAC by president of East Vidarbha Arun Kedar. Gulabrao Dhande, Srikant Daulatkar, Ratnakar Jagtap, Suraj Lolge, Bhojraj Sarode, Vijay Santape, Dilip Vahane, Amit Kalbande and other officials and leaders were present.
It may be noted that Vidarbha Rajya Andolan Samiti has been working tirelessly to promote the cause of separate Vidarbha. Top political parties have made empty promises.
