Jamui rape case: Accused still at large

Patna: Police have so far not been able to arrest anyone in connection with alleged gang rape of a 16-year-old girl in Jamui district. The girl was allegedly abducted from her house while she was fast asleep and raped by three people in the wee hours of Friday. The girl was in the house with her sister and grandmother. Her mother had gone to attend a wedding ceremony when the incident occurred.

The medical examination of the girl was conducted and her statements recorded under Section 164 of CrPC, police said.
According to the complaint filed by the rape survivor’s mother, she had gone out to attend a marriage event with her husband in the village on Thursday night. They came to know about the incident after returning home on Friday morning.
