Raipur: In a letter to director of SCERT, the Chhattisgarh Private School Management Association, representing 6000 non-government schools across 27 districts of the state, advocated for and demanded the adoption of the NCERT mathematics and science curriculum for classes I TO X.
With approximately 16 lakh students in private schools statewide, the students have been studying the subjects and curriculum under the State Council of Educational, Research and Training (SCERT), which in later years is reportedly not enough.
It is claimed that the students face issues when they appear for competitive examinations.
The association believes that implementing the nationally recognized NCERT curriculum will provide students with comprehensive knowledge and extensive exposure to the understanding of major subjects like mathematics and science, said an official.
