30 pvt schools to stay shut for women’s meet
Ranchi: At least 30 private schools in the city will remain closed on Monday in view of a women’s conference at the Morabadi ground. The event, organised by the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society, will discuss initiatives aimed at advancing the status of women in the society.
Approximately 400 large vehicles have been requisitioned to ensure smooth transportation of participants to and from different blocks to the venue.
Some of the schools have informed the parents that they would remain closed as their buses have been taken by the government for the event. However, some of the schools will remain open, though they have decided to suspend the junior classes.
Principal of Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Lalan Kumar Singh, said, “We have annual exams scheduled tomorrow which will take place as per plan.” TNN
