Ajsu-P to start state-wide agitation against JSSC
Ranchi: Ajsu-P, the NDA alliance in Jharkhand, on Friday said it will start a state-wide agitation to press for their four-point demands, including a CBI inquiry, into question paper leak case of the Jharkhand General Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination 2023, which was conducted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) on February 28.
Notably, the JSSC cancelled the test after the question leak and registered an FIR with the Namkum police station in connection with the incident.
The government has also formed a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the leak. Speaking to media persons at the party’s state headquarters in Harmu on Friday, Ajsu-P organising secretary S Ali said his party is not satisfied with the formation of an SIT for the case.
He said that apart from the CBI inquiry, Ajsu-P wants withdrawal of the case registered against protesting students, dismissal of all JSSC officers, including its chairman, blacklisting of the outsourcing agency, which conducted the examination and action against the guilty persons under the existing laws. Ali said Ajsu-P would conduct a signature campaign in front of universities and colleges on February 12, a torchlight procession on February 13, submission of a memorandum demanding a CBI inquiry and a day-long dharna in front of the Raj Bhawan on February 17. Notably, JSSC conducted the examination through an outsourcing agency after the intervention of the Jharkhand high court. Ajsu-P president Sudesh Mahto also raised the issue during the special session of the Vidhan Sabha on February 5 and 6. TNN
