Are there SOPs to help foreign tourists? HC asks state govt
Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court on Thursday asked the government whether it has any standard operating procedures (SOP) in place on assistance to foreign tourists coming into the state.
A division bench of Acting Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar and Justice Navneet Kumar was hearing a PIL after a foreign tourist of Spanish origin was raped by seven men in Dumka on March 1.
The court has sought a detailed affidavit from the Dumka police, explaining the investigation done in the case so far.
