Land dealer dies by suicide in city

Ranchi: A land dealer, Krishna Kant (56), died by suicide in his residence under the Lalpur police station area of Ranchi on Thursday morning.
The trader was summoned by the ED in connection with a case being probed by the central agency. Police said the trader had an interaction with his family members and then went to his room to get ready for the ED office.When he did not come out of his room for a long time, his relatives found it locked from inside. They broke it open and found the trader hanging from the ceiling fan. He was rushed to a hospital where the doctor declared him brought dead. Quoting the family, police said the trader was tensed for the past few days due to his business deals. Ranchi SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha said, “We have registered a case of unnatural death.” TNN
