History-sheeter hacked to death near Thally
Krishnagiri: A history-sheeter was hacked to death by an unidentified gang near Thally here on Friday.
Though the exact motive behind the murder has not been ascertained yet, police suspect previous enmity could have led to the murder.
The deceased has been identified as C Sathish, 34, of Kunikkal.
Police said he was an accused in six cases, including a murder and three attempt to murder cases, in Thally and Denkanikottai police stations.

He was recently released on bail from the Salem Central Prison.
Around 11pm on Friday, when he was on the way home, a gang ambushed him near Jayanthi Colony. They attacked him with sickles, killing him on the spot.
Police recovered the body and sent that to the Krishnagiri district government medical college and hospital for a postmortem.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
