Hassan, Satheesan keep off as Sudhakaran returns as KPCC chief
Thiruvananthapuram: Giving enough hints that the Congress in state is a divided house, senior leaders including KPCC acting president M M Hassan and opposition leader V D Satheesan were conspicuous by their absence when K Sudhakaran came to party headquarters here to re-assume charge of KPCC president on Wednesday.
Sudhakaran also didn’t hide his displeasure at this while speaking to the media later.
“Hassan should have been here while handing over the charge. He might have thought that there was no need for that,” he said.

It was amidst reports of objection raised by a section of leaders that Sudhakaran, who temporarily handed over the post to Hassan as directed by the All-India Congress Committee (AICC) following his candidature in Kannur constituency in Lok Sabha polls, reassumed charge. There were also reports that the party leadership had asked him to wait until the election results were out.
