Udaipur: Assam governor Gulabchand Kataria on Tuesday wrote to the
Udaipur district collector, superintendent of police, and regional transport officer to urge them to take immediate action on complaints that cab operators were charging arbitrary fares from passengers travelling to Udaipur from Dabok airport. He emphasised the importance of safeguarding the reputation of Udaipur as a tourist destination and called for stringent measures to curb malpractices.
