Woman beaten over son’s love marriage

Udaipur: Enraged by their daughter’s love marriage, relatives of the family allegedly stripped and assaulted the boy’s mother at a village under Chhotisadri police station in Pratapgarh district on Monday night.
According to DSP Gopal Lal Hindauniya, the victim filed a complaint stating four to five men and women attacked her. However, according to statements of villagers and her own son, there was a scuffle among women of the village, said police.
The victim’s son had married a girl from the village in a court marriage a year ago, the DSP said. tnn
