Vijayawada: The nomination filing process for the general elections in Andhra Pradesh came to an end at 3 pm on Thursday. A total of 731 candidates filed their nominations for the 25 Lok Sabha seats till 12 noon on Thursday. The ECI is likely to update the final data late on Thursday night or Friday morning. Prominent among those who filed nomination papers on the last day was YSRCP president and chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Regarding the 175 assembly seats, a total of 4,210 candidates submitted their nominations.
Hundreds of candidates rushed to the returning officers to file the nominations on the last day.
