TDP LS ticket for T BJP spokesperson

Vijayawada: TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu sprang a surprise on Friday by announcing the name of Telangana BJP spokesperson and retired DG rank officer T Krishna Prasad for Bapatla Lok Sabha seat. Though TDP considered the names of MS Raju, Undavalli Sridevi, Panabaka Lakshmi, and others for the SC constituency, it was finally given to Prasad.
Born in Hyderabad, Prasad is a 1986 batch IPS officer.He worked at various places in combined Andhra Pradesh and allotted to Telangana cadre post bifurcation of the state. He retired in 2020 and joined BJP. He presently holds the position of official spokesperson of the party’s Telangana unit.
Sources said Prasad tried for Cantonment assembly seat in the recently concluded elections in Telangana.
