Visakhapatnam: Andhra women teams have performed well in the BCCI tournaments last season with the U-19 team finishing runners-up and the ongoing camp for women players from Andhra in Anantapur would benefit the state teams and improve their performance, said MS Kumar, GM (game development) of Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) while on a visit to the camp at the ASA on Thursday.
Kumar along with BCCI panel umpire Ch Ravikanth Reddy, ACA GM (admin) Rohit Varma, ADCA secretary K Madhu Achari observed the batch 1 fitness and fielding sessions camp and the ADCA sub-centres at SSBN ACA ADCA coaching centre, PTC and ASV. They also interacted with the players and coaches TV Chandra Mohan Reddy, MSreenivas Reddy, P Sharmas Vali, K Naresh, R Kumar, Bommanna, ACA camp head coach S. Ramadevi, coaches D Ravi, B Yamini, Anitha, Sagarika, physio Teja, Anuradha and performance analysts Medhanath and Surya.
Anantapur selections on April 30Trials to select the Anantapur boys U-16 cricket team will be held at the Anantapur Sports Academy from 9 am on April 30. Date of birth certificate (Form 5), Aadhar card, study certificate, cricket kit and whites are mandatory, informed ADCA secretary K Madhu Achari.
