Dua Lipa's 'Radical Optimism' tops all-genre music poll

Dua Lipa's latest album, "Radical Optimism," has dominated this week's new music poll across various genres. In a survey by Billboard, music enthusiasts selected Lipa's album as their top pick among recent releases.
Lipa's latest set dominated the poll with 35% of the vote, surpassing other new releases such as Imagine Dragons' featuring J Balvin ("Eyes Closed"), Kendrick Lamar's tracks ("6:16 in LA" and "Euphoria"), Willow's "Empathogen," and Kane Brown and Marshmello's "Miles on It."
This album marks Lipa's third studio release and is her first full album since 2020's "Future Nostalgia." It features hit singles like "Houdini," "Training Season," and "Illusion."
Describing the album's theme, Lipa mentioned “[Releasing the album] feels good.It feels for lack of a better word — radically optimistic,” she previously told Billboard, before explaining the idea behind the album cover, which features the singer floating in a wide open ocean facing a shark fin. “Throughout the whole record, there’s this idea of chaos happening around and me trying to push through it in a way that feels authentic and honest to me.”
Dua Lipa took on multiple roles as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live on May 4. During the show, she performed songs from her Radical Optimism album, including "Illusion" and "Happy For You."
In this week's poll results, Radical Optimism leads the pack, followed by the "other" category with almost 23% of the vote. Coming in third is "Eyes Closed" by Imagine Dragons featuring J Balvin, securing 21% of the vote.
