Before singing Dooba dooba, the song from his first album, Mohit shared that he had written the song when he was completing his MSc in Geology in Dharamshala. “I had written this song then but af ter that, I came to Delhi to look for work. Socha yahan kaam karuga aur sangeet bachpan se hi mere saath chal raha tha toh yahan kuch log mile aur hamara ek band bana jiska naam tha Silk Route. And this song became the part of our first album Boondein, and the video was launched in April, 1998,” said Mohit as he later performed the most requested song of the evening, Sadda Haq, Nadaan Parinde, among others, for the cheering crowd.
