The actor shared that while he was well-received by Tamil audiences for his role in 'Maari 2' and thoroughly enjoyed the shooting experience, he made a conscious choice to focus on Malayalam cinema afterward.
With over 25 Malayalam movies lined up post-'Maari 2', Tovino explained that committing to Tamil projects at that time would have caused delays for his Malayalam commitments, potentially inconveniencing his friends and colleagues.

Tovino elaborated on the differences in shooting schedules between Malayalam and Tamil cinema, highlighting the faster pace of production in Tamil films. While a Tamil film might be completed in the time it takes to shoot three Malayalam films.
The actor emphasized the importance of fulfilling his commitments in Malayalam cinema before embarking on any Tamil projects. He noted that completing all his committed Malayalam ventures was essential before considering taking on a Tamil film.
Meanwhile, fans eagerly anticipate Tovino's upcoming project, the highly anticipated fantasy action flick 'Ajayante Randam Moshanam' which is directed by the debutant Jithin Lal.
