Hyderabad witnessed a festive scene at its airport on Friday afternoon as film icon Chiranjeevi returned home after being honoured with the prestigious Padma Vibhushan in New Delhi. The megastar, who has long been a luminary in Indian cinema, was greeted with enthusiastic cheers, hoots, and a shower of flower bouquets as he made his way through the terminal.
The Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian award, was bestowed upon Chiranjeevi for his significant contributions to the film industry. The award ceremony, which took place on May 9 Thursday.
Accompanying Chiranjeevi were his wife Surekha, daughter Sushmita, and son Ram Charan, along with his daughter-in-law Upasana Kamineni Kondiela. The family had attended the ceremony together, sharing in the moment of national recognition.
