NEW DELHI: Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah held a crucial meeting with Special Investigation Team (SIT) officials on Saturday regarding the alleged sex scandal involving Prajwal Revanna. The officials informed the CM about the possibility of the CBI issuing a "Blue Corner Notice" against Hassan MP, which would expedite the investigation process.

According to a release from his office, the officials told the CM, "We will proceed for arrest with appropriate measures. There is a possibility of CBI issuing a Blue Corner Notice, which will speed up the investigation."
"They (SIT officials) have assured that they will arrest and get the accused back, as soon as they get the information from the airports," it added.
The SIT officials assured Siddaramaiah that they would take appropriate measures to arrest Prajwal Revanna and bring him back as soon as they receive information from the airports. The SIT has reportedly sent a request to the CBI, the nodal agency for Interpol matters in India, to issue a Blue Corner Notice against the accused. This notice is issued by the international police cooperation body to gather additional information about a person's identity, location, or activities in relation to a crime.
"Once CBI issues this notice, SIT hopes to get information about the whereabouts of Prajwal Revanna," they said.
Prajwal Revanna, the 33-year-old grandson of former PM H D Deve Gowda, was the BJP-JD(S) alliance's candidate from Hassan in the recent Lok Sabha polls. He is said to have left the country on April 27, a day after the first phase of the elections in Karnataka. Despite his advocate seeking seven days' time for him to appear before the SIT, the investigating team has denied the request, stating that there is no such provision.

During the meeting, the SIT officials briefed the chief minister about the case's progress and informed him that Prajwal Revanna, the main accused, is currently "missing." They also mentioned that a lookout notice has been issued against him, and an intensive search is underway. Siddaramaiah gave strict instructions to the officials, emphasizing that negligence and delay in this matter will not be tolerated and that decisive and strict action should be taken against those involved in the case.
"Immediate action should be taken to arrest Prajwal Revanna. Decisive and strict action should be taken against those involved in the case," the chief minister said.
