NEW DELHI: Supreme Court on Monday ordered the Enforcement Directorate to file its response on former Jharkhand CM and JMM chairperson Hemant Soren's interim bail plea in money laundering case.
Listing the matter for the second week of May, the apex court also said that the Jharkhand high court may pronounce its order in Soren's plea challenging his arrest , which it had reserved earlier.

Following a prolonged hide-and-seek scenario, Soren was apprehended by the ED in January in connection with the land scam case.
The investigation centers on significant amounts of proceeds of crime generated through the forgery of official records, involving 'fake sellers' and purchasers through falsified or counterfeit documents to acquire vast parcels of land valued at crores.
