NEW DELHI: Arsenal held on to secure a 3-2 victory over their rivals Tottenham Hotspur in another episode of the North London derby, maintaining their position at the top of the Premier League table.
The Gunners raced into a commanding lead before the break, silencing the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with three goals.
The scoring began with an own goal from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, followed by strikes from Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz, putting Arsenal in complete control.

However, Tottenham fought back in the second half, with goals from Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min setting up a tense finale. Despite the pressure, Arsenal managed to hold on for the win.
This victory was a significant boost for Arsenal, coming on the heels of a disappointing home defeat to Aston Villa and a Champions League quarter-final exit at the hands of Bayern Munich.

The win also marked their fifth triumph in the last seven north London derbies, keeping their title hopes alive as they seek to end a 20-year wait for the Premier League crown.
For Tottenham, the defeat was a setback in their pursuit of a top-four finish and Champions League qualification. They currently sit seven points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa, albeit with two games in hand.
In other Premier League action on Sunday, Bournemouth secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Brighton, with goals from Marcos Senesi, Enes Unai, and Justin Kluivert.
