Flying from Noida Airport to be cheaper than Delhi’s IGI Airport! Know how
Noida International Airport, which will soon become operational in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, is poised to revolutionize air travel by significantly enhancing affordability. When compared to the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in Delhi, travellers can anticipate savings of up to INR 1,500 per flight ticket, thereby making it a more budget-friendly option for those seeking to fly.
This promising development will likely provide passengers with a cost-effective alternative while offering a boost to air travel accessibility in the region.

Difference in price
Reports suggest that there will be a variation of approximately 10 to 15% in ticket fares. For instance, if the airfare from Delhi to Lucknow is priced at INR 3,500, the corresponding ticket from Noida Airport is expected to be approximately INR 2,800, which shows a noticeable reduction in costs.

UP government reduced VAT on fuel
If reports are to go by, the Uttar Pradesh government has taken a proactive measure to reduce Value Added Tax (VAT) on aviation fuel, marking a significant step towards making air travel more affordable. The decreased VAT rate in comparison to Delhi will result in airfares being offered at more competitive prices.
According to a government official, typical airfare from Delhi to Lucknow currently stands at Rs 3,500, whereas the same journey from Noida Airport is projected to cost around Rs 2,800, reflecting a noteworthy cost reduction.
It's important to note that as distances increase, this price difference will have a more pronounced effect, influencing the choices of air travellers. The impact on passenger numbers is expected to be substantial as a result of these more attractive fares.
Additionally, the revenue generated from the airport's operation is anticipated to be recouped by the construction company over a six-year period. Following this period, the income will be distributed among the airport's shareholders based on their respective investments. This strategic initiative by the government not only promotes accessible air travel but also provides a framework for the equitable distribution of returns in the future.

The construction of Noida International Airport in Jewar is on track for completion by February of the following year, with passenger services scheduled to commence in October. As per reports, the inaugural day is set to witness the takeoff of 65 airplanes from Noida International Airport.

Proximity
The expansive Noida Airport, spanning an extensive 1,334 hectare area in Jewar, offers convenient accessibility to Delhi NCR and Western Uttar Pradesh via well-connected road networks. Situated at a mere 40 km from Noida, 72 km from Delhi Airport, and 130 km from Agra, its strategic location ensures easy reach from various key locations.

Improved passenger experience
With the objective of enhancing passenger service, the Uttar Pradesh government is planning the establishment of a high-speed metro connection between the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar and Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The proposed Airport Express Line, spanning a distance of 72 km, is designed to provide a swift commute with only six stops, as stated by the Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) authorities. This efficient metro project is expected to reduce the one-way travel time to approximately one hour, ensuring an improved travel experience for passengers.

Conclusion
Noida International Airport stands as a more appealing option due to its cost-effectiveness, strategic location, and efforts to improve passenger services, making it a promising choice for travellers seeking a budget-friendly and convenient air travel experience.
